ASEASUK Biennial Conference


          

The ASEASUK Biennial Conference takes place over three days in September every other year. It features a range of research presentations, roundtables on current events, as well as career development sessions.

You need to be a member of ASEASUK to attend the conference, so if you are not a current member please renew / join. Membership rates are £12/£13 for students and £20/£21 for others. If you are not sure about your membership status, please email aseasuk.memsec@gmail.com to check. 

 

EuroSEAS Conference 2019 Call For Panels

The EuroSEAS Conference 2019 will be held in Berlin from 10-13 September 2019 and will be hosted by the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. EuroSEAS invites scholars and PhD students from all academic disciplines with an interest in Southeast Asia to submit panels that explore relevant research topics from an interdisciplinary perspective, as well as discuss theoretical and methodological aspects of research generated in the field of Southeast Asian Studies.

Please send your proposals to euroseas@kitlv.nl by 1 December 2018.

 

ASEASUK Conference 2018

The ASEASUK 2018 Conference, 'Southeast Asia Meets Global Challenges', took place at the University of Leeds from 5 to 7 September and was attended by 135 delegates from universities across Europe and Southeast Asia. The themes of the conference were:

  • Politics and Good Governance
  • Sustainable and Equitable Development 
  • Cultural Heritage and Cultural Production
